S1 | E5 - Acting Coaches: Time to Say Goodbye

When was the last time you changed your mind about something?

When is loyalty good, when does it hold you back? Some of the most important learning we will do is unlearning some stuff. It's like breaking a bad habit, except, we don't know it's a bad habit. This is why we need to lift the hood sometimes and examine our values and actions.

In Episode 5 Acting Coaches: Time to Say Goodbye, we’re going to breakdown this idea that acting coaches can be people, institutions, ideas, or cultures that train and condition us to live or behave in a certain way, but the training and conditioning that we were taught by our acting coaches can only take us so far. We need to admit that we just don't know all the things, and what we learned a long time ago, may in fact, be blocking and limiting growth... so it's time to say goodbye to that conditioning.

Journaling Prompts

What if I treated myself like an institution who also needs to be called out occasionally?

What are things I’ve been saying I value all these years that my current actions disagree with?

What do I want out of my life?

Who do I want to become and what stories are useful to that future me?
